General

What should I do before starting an SBA program?

Make sure you’ve read the information on the specific training program on the website or within the app and choose the program that best suits your goals, fitness level and access to equipment. As with all physical activity, it’s important to consult your physician and follow all safety instructions before beginning any exercise program, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have any medical condition, or are taking any medication.

How old do I need to be?

The Strong Body App contains physically demanding programs which utilises weight training and are designed for those at least 16 years of age and older. In any circumstance, we encourage parents to take extra consideration and carefully monitor their child’s progress through the program. Parents should try the program before their child begins, assess their child’s fitness ability and made an educated decision. In addition, parents should consult their child’s medical provider and if your child experiences any pain or discomfort, discontinue workouts immediately.

Will the Fitz and Fitzpower programs help to improve my surfing?

Surfing requires specialises skills in cardio endurance, core stability, balance and flexibility. These things are also the core ingredients for a functioning and strong body, the same principles which Fitz and Fitzpower have been built on. The programs will not help technique or water confidence, but will prepare you physically for surfing.

Workouts

What equipment do I need?

Every program on the Strong Body App has different equipment needs. Check out the program overview pages on the website to find a program that suits you and the equipment you have access to.

Why does the screen change colour?

Your screen changes colour to indicate the level of intensity, or effort, you need to be putting into that particular exercise.

Can I repeat the workouts?

We don’t recommend multiple sessions as quality trumps quantity in the long run. The best gains come with intense sessions, adequate recovery and great nutrition.

What is the workout schedule and do I have to complete all of them?

Workouts per week vary by program. You need to complete all workouts in the module for the following modules to unlock.

Why can’t I see my whole program?

You can only see your current module because the programs have been designed to provide progressive fitness improvement. You’ll see consistent results by following each module’s workouts as you build your strength and fitness.

What if I’m missing equipment?

If you’re missing equipment refer to descriptions where alternatives have been provided, or get creative and improvise with what’s available to you.

How long is each workout?

Workouts vary between 12 and 50 minutes including warm ups, main sets and cool downs depending on the program you select.

Membership & Subscriptions

How much does the program cost?

The program costs $4.61 per week, billed at $19.99 each month.

Do I need a gym membership?

Some programs on SBA can be completed anywhere, some are best suited to complete with access to equipment commonly found in gyms.

How can I opt out?

You can cancel your membership via the platform you first purchased your membership – itunes, Google Play or shop.strongbodyapp.com. For further information contact the SBA team at hello@strongbodyapp.com

Strong Dollars

Where are my Strong Dollars stored?

Your StrongDollars are tallied on your profile screen.

How are they calculated?

Points are only awarded on workout completion – so if a workout is started but not completed no points will be recorded. Your points are displayed at the end of the workout and total cumulative points in the profile.

What milestones should I be aiming for?

Your first milestone is 12,000 points and you’ll donate a skipping rope to kids at this point. Following that your next milestone is 25,000 points.

Who will the skipping rope be donated to?

SBA will be donating ropes and awesome activities to kids from all around the world. The more you workout, the more kids we can get skipping and sharing the positivity of fitness.
